RICHMOND — The state transportation cabinet is seeking public comment on its proposed re-design of Interstate 75’s Exit 95.

The cabinet will have diagrams of the re-design on display during an informal public meeting from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at White Hall Elementary School, 2166 Lexington Road.

Kentucky Transportation Cabinet representatives and consultants will be on hand to answer questions, according to project manager C.R. Toy. Both written and verbal comments taken during the session will become part of the official project record, he said. Once compiled, the meeting record will be available for review and copying to those who submit approved open-records requests.

At Tuesday’s Madison Fiscal Court meeting, Judge/Executive Kent Clark said the project had been funded as part of the state’s six-year road plan. However, construction could be two years away.

In recent years, the exit has been the site of traffic congestion as commercial development around the exit has increased.
