Union City’s fish fry is this Saturday, Oct. 6, at the Ruritan Building. Serving will begin at 4:30 p.m. and continue until 7:30 p.m. This is always a good event for the community. Everyone is welcome to attend and enjoy the food and fellowship.
Liberty Chapel is having revival services this week at 7 p.m. Meetings will continue through Friday night. Brother Wayne House of Manchester is the evangelist. There is special music at each service and everyone is welcome to attend.
Speedwell Christian Church on Brassfield Road will have a pig roast and gospel sing this Saturday, Oct. 6, beginning at 1 p.m. The public is invited. For details, call Mrs. Anna French at 623-2302.
A number of young people from around the county, some with Union City connections, will be participating in the National Archery in the Schools World Tournament on Friday and Saturday at Walt Disney World Resort, Orlando, Fla. We wish them the best.
