RICHMOND —
Parents and caregivers in Madison County are invited to attend a resource and networking event March 6 hosted by Bluegrass.org.
Bluegrass.org has provided behavioral health, developmental disabilities and substance abuse services in the state for more than 45 years.
A regional RAP (Resource Assistance Program) will be hosted for a six-county region Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the Bright Leaf Golf Course in Harrodsburg. The event is free to the public and will include lunch and door prizes.
“This is designed to give the (healthcare) provider, families and the childcare agencies in the six-county area a chance to network, fellowship and contribute resources which will be distributed through the University of Kentucky College of Social Work,” said Bill Grossi, Juvenile Services District Supervisor for the Kentucky Department of Juvenile Justice.
Space is limited and anyone interested in attending should contact Grossi at billg.grossi@ky.gov.
Kentucky SEED (System to Enhance Early Development) provided the funding to host the event. The SEED organization works to meet the challenges and support the families of children from birth to 5 years who have mental health needs. Learn more about Kentucky SEED by visiting www.childrensmentalhealthky.com.
“We believe that the SEED grant and the SEED referrals are an important process in helping with the mental health needs of all the families in our areas,” Grossi said.
Those attending the event will be added to the University of Kentucky College of Social Work’s statewide, online resource guide.
Visit www.blue grass.org to learn more about the services offered in the 17-county Bluegrass Region.
