Statistics indicate that women account for over 85 percent of all reported cases of domestic violence. Because of this, it is difficult to believe there are individuals who say they are not affected. The filing of a motion in Madison Circuit Court accusing Sheriff Nelson O’Donnell and his department as well as Commonwealth’s Attorney David Smith and his office of misconduct is troubling. The motion is part of the ongoing case against three Richmond police officers accused of witness tampering.
