Delores LoRey demonstrates Tuesday how defendant Denver Rearick put his hand in the shape of a gun to tell her and others that 26-year-old Matthew Richie had shot himself. LoRey said the conversation occurred shortly after the Jan. 22, 2011, shooting while everyone was gathered at the hospital. Rearick is accused of acting recklessly with a gun when it discharged, striking Richie in the face.
