Rachel and Trevis Spires of Berea, above, drop their umbrella Saturday to share a kiss at Lake Reba Park during the annual July 4th celebration sponsored by the city of Richmond. Despite the rain, the event was well attended with about 40,000 people, said Richmond City Manager David Evans. Five local bands performed at the free event.
